What’s the difference between a new Chevrolet Silverado and the equally new 2014 GMC Sierra? Their buyers. Under the steel skin, General Motors’ full-size pickups are dizygotic twins: Same DNA but not identical in appearance or appeal. They have the same new frame, modernized mechanicals and electronics, and the same new and more fuel-efficient engines.

The difference is that GMC buyers want a little more comfort and sophistication.
It’s the difference between a worker’s truck and a boss’s truck. GMC says Sierra’s buyers have more education, more income, more need for moreness.
